When placing spells on air units, do we have to account for where the air unit's shadow is? There are times where it looks like the air unit is within the spell ring when in reality it could be totally outside of the ring.

Tried to draw an example. In the top-down view, it looks like the dragon is just within the bottom border of the poison ring. However, since the actual shadow is outside of the ring, if you look at it from a side view, the spell totally whiffs on the dragon.

I'd approach this as a PSA, but wasn't sure if this is an actual mechanic of the game.
