[Strategy] Did you max town hall 9 before going to 10? If not, do you regret it?

I have just begun the wall/hero grind and have already hit a wall of boredom. I want to hear your opinion/experience on going to town hall 10 without maxing completely or staying at 9 and maxing completely.
